Totoy Bato is one of the newest drama series in GMA promised last year. It stars the biggest names in Philippine TV, music and sports scene: Robin Padilla, Regine Velasquez and Manny Pacquiao.

Robin Padilla underwent a serious physical training for this role. He trained in Mt. Pulag and key locations in Baguio to be physically fit.

This is the second primetime soap opera of Regine Velasquez. The two already teamed up for two-blockbuster films in the past under GMA Films.

Totoy Bato tells the story of a tough third class boxer played by Robin Padilla and how a beautiful singer played by Regine Velasquez change the heart of the cold prizefighter.

Totoy Bato is based on a komiks classic by Carlo J. Caparas. It was once made into film starring the late Fernando Poe Jr.
