Task Force on Education Wants Mandatory Five Years of College
If you find four years in college long, wait until the proposal of PTFE or Presidential Task Force on Education that aims to put five-year college mandatory in all major course in the country.
The act is part of the task force’s mission to reform the Philippines’ education system.
As of this writing, there are numerous groups that already expressed disagreement with the mandatory five years of college proposal; among these is the Alliance of Concerned Teachers. According to its national chairperson Antonio Tinio, there is no guarantee that extending the years of college into will raise the quality of Filipino graduates.
