Takipsilim is Pinoy Twilight
Twilight will be turned into a Philippine TV series and it is entitled Takipsilim.
It makes me think what the other movies would be called? Bagong Buwan for New Moon? Ceasar Montano already did a movie with that title. Anyhow, ABS-CBN should have a better screen adaptation of Twilight. The title Takipsilim isn’t so bad.
Since Takipsilim will start shooting this February 2009, it’s safe to assume that we can watch this series as early as March. For now enjoy the poster and take note of the complete Takipsilim cast:

As much as it is already confirmed that the filippino version of Twilight – “Takipsilim” as you may wish to call it, is not and was never true in going into production.
I beleive even if they had, it would ruin everything for the Twilight fans everywere. As Takipsilim would have to be adjusted towards filippino culture, and for Twilight that is far beyond the genre and it would ruin the whole entire film.
Maybe Abs-Cbn can just use the story line of ‘forbidden love’ but set out in a far different scene from Twilight. After all, filo’s tend to enjoy wathing supernatural with a mixture of the fight for Love.
Im glad that these rumors were never true, as it truly ruin the reputation Abs-Cbn has worked very hard for, and as a tfc subscriber it would hurt to see that happen.
But now all is well & New Moon (meaning the “original” American version) is set to come out in late 2009 (20.11.09) SO KEEP AN EYE OUT FANS!!!

fourth, i know, almost all of us are expecting the movie to suck much but then, let’s just wait for the airing. maybe, it’ll be quite good to watch [i think]. i mean, ABS-CBN and Ignite productions paid much for the copyright to please Filipino audiences [clearly, not all are pleased], let’s do our part, let’s TRY not to criticize it that much. i mean, yes, they’re constructive criticisms but then, who are we to complain? we only watch the series, we aren’t actually the ones working behind it’s production.

so siguro nga hndi ako “smart”. but at least i know the possibilities we call. and would not do such a thing that would only put the network to shame. i have nothing against the casts actually, it is the whole copycat thing. other segments or series from other countries that abs-cbn have made of their own version is already enough. tama na yun. ba’t pati ba ang twilight gawan nila? i know there is nothing wrong with it but don’t they know how people are getting affected and inspired of this book series or of the movie? and can’t they realize how they will piss people off if they would push-through with this petty project. but still i know if the network would go for this there is nothing haters, like me can do. at least i just have stated my opinion. para kung makita nila to eh di malaman nila. oh and yeah, i did had a blast with my new year. thanks

Filipino fans of Stephenie Meyer’s “Twilight” series will soon have another reason to celebrate after broadcasting giant ABS-CBN bagged the exclusive rights to make a local television series based on the vampire novels.
Initial reports said ABS-CBN paid $1 million with co-producer Ignite Media for the rights to the Twilight series.
The new series, tentatively titled “Takipsilim”, will reunite the onscreen tandem of Rayver Cruz and Shaina Magdayao.
Taping for the series will start February of next year. Some parts of the series will be shot abroad and the other locations include Tagaytay, Bukidnon and Baguio. The series will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.

i really adore twilight so much. and what abs-cbn is doing is makig me depress.twilight is very special to me and making a pinoy version of it disgust me so much.
pinoy’s have no originality.
and do they ever think that if they make a pinoy version of it everybody will praise them and will make everybody happy.
i hope abs-cbn will come to their senses. if they continue this production they will realy regret it,because there will be a lot of backfire to come.
p.s. please stop giving names who fits well to the character,because from the start not a single filipino bagay sa part e. tnx ^_^
