Short Film News reported that the Canwest-Hot Docs funds recipient has been released. A total of 9 projects will received the prestigious grant totaling to $246,000.

A woman who claimed that Tyler Perry didn’t write the book “Diary of a Mad Black Woman,” filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Perry saying that she wrote the 2005 blockbuster film with the same title.

According to reports, Perry must appear in court and answer the charge this week. Donna West, the woman who filed case noted that she wrote a story called “Fantasy of a Black Woman” in 1990. She got a copyright for the film in 2006.

With still a few sleeps before Twilight finally hits the big screen people are already excited about New Moon Movie a.k.a. Twilight 2.

So what will the New Moon movie be like? Where can we watch New Moon Movie online? Who will direct it? Who will be included in the New Moon cast?

Although people are talking about it there’s no solid information to New Moon as of this writing. We can only hope that the scriptwriter will respect the book and retain most of the original casts. For the meantime just watch this fan made New Moon Video.

Sometimes, just sometimes, movies and films that aren’t being shown are leaked in the internet. A great example of this would be the movie Bandits and Mutant Chronicles. I was able to download those films months before its actual release. I was able to watch other films online too.

I’m searching where I can watch Twilight online now for a few reasons: to save myself from traffic and well, to be able to watch Twilight for free and to be among the very few firsts have seen it. Guess what I got?

The third edition of NexT International Short and Medium Length Film Festival will take place in Bucharest from April 1 to April 5, 2009.

Therefore, NexT calls for entries of narrative films up to 60 minutes (animation included, no documentaries), completed after the 1st of January 2007.

Besides the competition and the off competition programmes, NexT also presents a series of seminars on directing, sound-design, production&distribution, offered free of charge to the participants.
NexT intends to be a meeting point for young filmmakers around the world.

NexT covers accommodation and travel expenses (%) for the director / sound-designer of the films in competition.
