Serbis (Service), a controversial film by Centerstage Productions got three nominations at the 3rd Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong this March.

Brillante Mendoza, director of Serbis revealed the good news thru a text message to some press. According to him, he is nominated for Best Director Award while the actresses Jacklyn Jose and Gina Pareño are both nominated for Best Supporting Actress Award.

Serbis was first noticed during the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France which was held May last year.

Brillante Mendoza is set to receive the Presidential Jury, the highest award from Gawad Tanglaw for his films Masahista,” “Manoro,” “Kaleldo,” “Foster Child,” “Tirador” and “Serbis.”
