Kidlat Tahimik and Benedict Anderson to Speak in 5th Annual Southeast Asian Cinemas Conference
Kidlat Tahimik and Dr. Benedict Anderson will be speaking in the 5th Annual Southeast Asian Cinemas Conference. ASEACC will be held on November 20-22 at the Ateneo de Manila University.
This year’s theme of Southeast Asian Cinemas Conference is States of Independence.
Kidlat Tahimik (Eric de Guia), a lifetime achievement receiver or Gawad Urian is a multi-awarded filmmaker. Among his popular works are Mababangong Bangungot (Perfumed
Nightmares) and Turumba.
Benedict Anderson is a nationalist and an educator from Cornell University. He has authored numerous books including Imagined Communities.
