Jay Wins Black Movie Filmfest Award in Geneva
Jay, the movie directed by Francis Xavier Pasion captured the Audience Award at the recently-concluded Black Movie film festival in Geneva, Switzerland.
Jay defeated 76 entries from other countries including six Filipino entries namely: Brillante Mendoza’s “Serbis” and “Tirador”, Auraeus Solito’s “Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros”, Sherad Anthony Sanchez’s “Huling Balyan ng Buhi” and Jim Libiran’s “Tribu.”
The Black Movie film festival professes that is a film event that goes against the trend of conventional movies, featuring upcoming talents as well as established filmmakers from outside the Western world such as Asia, Africa and Latin America.
