Ilonggo Players Set World’s Longest Football Game Played
High school players from Barotac Nuevo Town, Iloilo, Philippines broke the world record for longest football game ever player by playing for over 35 hours.
The game was between Barotac Nuevo Comprehensive National High School (BNCNHS) and the Iloilo State College of Fisheries (ISCOF). The game played that was played in Barotac Nuevo Town plaza lasted for 35 hours and 20 minutes.
The match started on Friday at around 8:40 a.m and ended on 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The teams played 19 games, each lasting for 45 minutes ending it with the score of 136-133 in favor of Iloilo State College of Fisheries.
The Philippine match is set to break the Australia record in a match that lasted lasted for 32 hours and 50 minutes.
A report said that the organizers and officials of the World Football Marathon are now finalizing the documentation of the match. The continuous video coverage of all the games will also be watched. This is need for the record to acknowledge by the Guinness World Records.
