After the Katrina Halili and Hayden Kho’s sex scandal was publicized in the Senate, the fallout from the said party was further extended to the House of Congress.

The said issue has caused bickering inside the House. Manila Rep. Bienvenido Abante Jr. blames and charges Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla for the increasing cases of cybersex videos after Mr. Revilla has allegedly sat on the approved House Bill No. 3305 that gives penalties on internet pornography. When the counterpart bill was filed by the Senate, Sen. Revilla was the chair of the Senate Committee on Mass Media and Public Information.

Revilla rebutted that the congressman is charging up the wrong person and was actually ignorant of the facts. The Senator has confirmed that the House Bill 3305 was transmitted and has undergone a first reading last February 12, 2008 on the Senate. But contrary to Rep. Abante’s claim, the said HB was actually referred to the Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights and not to his own committee.

Good thing, Sen. Francis Pangilinan who acted as the referee has stopped the heated discussion and said that the lawmakers should focus on the issue and not on the side shows.
