NBC is not pulling the plug off Friday Night Lights. According to a reliable source, NBC renewed the show for two more 13-episode runs, enough to make Friday Night Lights on the air until 2011.

Friday Night Lights stars Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton. The drama series about a family amidst Texas football has struggled in ratings despite its good reviews at Emmy and Peabody awards.
