Mutya ng Pilipinas 2008 List of Candidates

Here is the complete list of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2008 candidates. A total of 24 beauty candidates will vie for this year’s Mutya titles.

The competition will choose three major titles that includes Mutya ng Pilipinas-International, Mutya ng Pilipinas-Tourism Puerto Princesa and Mutya ng Pilipinas-Overseas Communities. The coronation will be held in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

Pisay Tops UP Math Tilt

Philippine Science High School (PSHS) topped the “MATHirang MATHibay” annual mathematics competition of the University of the Philippines Math Majors Circle.

The team composed of Alvin Wilson Alba, Benetta Joy Branzuela and Dianne Francesca Oliveros topped 40 other teams from different schools in the contest held in UP Institute of Mathematics and Math Education Development Auditorium.

The three bright students received “Pinaka-MATHibay Immortality Trophy,” and P15,000 prize money.

Joel Edward Cardinal, Roochie Mico Cosico and Kevin Ross Nera of Makati Science High School placed second while Angeline Baniqued, Geraldine Baniqued and Ma. Regine Paz Onglao of St. Paul – Pasig got the third place.

India’s Largest Short Film Festival, FulMarxx Shorts Fest Gets a Part 2

With more than 1,000 short filmmakers viewing for numerous awards, FulMarxx Shorts Fest Ver 2.0 is India’s largest Short Film Festival and probably, one of the world’s.

The said festival will take place on April 25-26, 2009 in Ahmedabad.
