Jollibee Wants to be Chinese?
Fast news. Jollibee Foods Corp. acquired 70 percent of Taiwanese restaurant chain Lao Dong for 61.1 million pesos. That's equivalent to US$1.37 million. So they basically own now that company. And last year, Jollibee also acquired a Chinese restaurant chain Hongzhuangyuan for about US$50.5 million. Now that's a lot of money. Why? I'm not entirely sure. I'm not a business expert.
