Andong Wins Awards in French Short Film Festival
Andong, a Filipino short film bagged two awards in the 31st Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival held in France.
Andong is about a six-year-old boy who is obsessed about acquiring twenty pesos. The film that won the Prix du Public (Audience Prize) and Prix de la Presse (Press Prize) from the French filmfest shows the dynamics of a family with a hand-to-mouth existence.
The short film is a Cinemalaya 2008 entry and has bested 75 entries competing worldwide in the international category.
Andong is directed by Rommel “Milo” Tolentino
Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival is also known as the “Cannes” of short film festivals.
