Pinoy’s love for Obama is undeniable.
Accel, a Philippine sportswear brand honors President Barack Obama by releasing a sports shoe inspired by the first African-American President of the United States.
Dubbed as the Accel Obama sports shoes, the footwear bears the image of Barack Obama.
Willie Ortiz, Sporteum Philippines president wishes to present the limited edition shoes to President Obama at the Oval Office of the White House in Washington, DC.
“As a tribute to Mr. Obama, we thought of designing a shoe with his image,” Ortiz said in an interview.
“A great number of Filipinos were truly elated with the election of Mr. Obama because he belongs to a minority group just like Filipino-Americans in the US,” he added.
Obama shoes come in two colors: pristine white and in black, red and white combination design and it bears the image of Obama printed on the side near the ankles.
As it is a limited edition, only 180 pairs of red and 180 pairs of white Accel Obama sports shoes will be manufactured.
