ABS-CBN Denies Takipsilim – Twilight Movie TV Series Adaptation
Call the station whatever you like but the Kapamilya network ABS-CBN now denies that they are making or planning to make Takipsilim, Twilight Movie’s adaptation into a Filipino TV series or soap opera.
ABS-CBN did say that they will have Takipsilim on abs-cbnNEWS.com at 12/24/2008 9:50 AM. You can check the evidence here at the cached entry on the TV station’s news website. ABS-CBN Interactive apparently deleted the entry. You can also check this image evidence that was emailed to us by a reliable source.
So what happened? The statement below regarding Takimpsilim can perhaps tell you something.
“There is no truth to the Web reports, particularly in the Perez Hilton blogsite, that ABS-CBN is doing a local adaptation of “Twilight”. ABS-CBN will be the first to announce if it is, in fact doing so,” according to ABS-CBN Corporate Communications’ Bong Osorio.
Last week, abs-cbnNEWs.com did a story on an Internet report about the adaptation. The prospect of a local adaptation of “Twilight” has caused a lot of discussion, sometimes heated, on various Internet discussion fora.
So what do you guys think?

The report came from their website. They were able to remove the entry, but not Google’s cache!

you know what dear..proven na yung attitude ng abscbn towards the philippine showbiz industry..they keep on denying something which is true..and then after sometime makikita mo na lang na may TAKIPSILIM na palabas na pala..they would do anything just to catch the attention of the televiewers. IT SUCKS you know..nakikisabay sila sa popularity ng twilight.

and abscbn is an example.
mia’s point is about the remake of twilight in the phil.
how can you make someone proud of something which is not original in nature…
hindi ina-underestimate ni mia tayong mga pilipino..

this is a democratic country,my dear. hayaan mo siyang mag-express ng opinion niya. and in what way na naging GP (or “great pretender”,according to you) siya? hindi naman niya dineny na pinoy siya. may point siya,ilang koreanovela na rin ang ginaya ng station na iyan. kung manggagaya na lang,sana naman gawin nilang unique and at the same time hindi lumulihis sa cotent ng original na series. ang nangyayari kasi ginagaya nila lahat,kung pwede na lang pati ang mukha nung mga original na cast. huwag naman sana na maging proud ka dahil sa nanggagaya tayo.

the poster is as fake as the people involved in starting the rumor about the “takipsilim” thing and as stupid as those people who believe in it..especially to those who make comments against abs-cbn. sana naman ay wag na po tayong gumawa ng mga maling balita para lamang sumikat lalo na ngayong katatapos pa lang ng pasko and kasisimula pa lamang ng new year.
