5 Pinoy Fear Factor Contestants Revealed – is Pinoy Fear Factor a Reality Show or Another Talent Search?
Joining Phoemela Barranda, LJ Moreno are 10 others contestants or “participantes” in ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Fear Factor. 3 out of these 10 newcomers were revealed today.
These include former basketball player Ram Sagad, stand-up comedienne Jamie Ann “Janna” Dominguez, and balikbayan Marion Angelo dela Cruz.
One look and you’ll know that these contestants aren’t ordinary paritipants, there are either good looking or simply, artista-type. Something that raises this question: is Pinoy Fear Factor a true reality show or another talent search?
Direk Laurenti Dyogi who heads Pinoy Fear Factor said that they actually sent out invitations to talent scouts and managers. That explains why these contestants are the very same type you’ll see joining showbiz talent searches.
Janna, 18, is a former host in Wowowee and is a supporting cast in the gag-show Banana Split.
Ram, 23 played for NCCA’s San Sebastian College-Recolletos de Manila Golden Stag team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. He is also 2007’s Century Tuna Superbod.
Marion is a soccer player (soon to be TV personality) from Vienna, Austria.
Pinoy Fear Factor will search for the “El Ultimo Participante” which literally means ultimate participant. The show will start airing on November 10.

let’s face it, these reality shows always make it a point to get pretty boys and girls so they can be artistas too after the contest. ABS-CBN replaced Star Circle Quest with PBB Teen plus PBB is also one of their sources for new talents. models join these reality shows to get exposure na din. i’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not.
