The 49th Krakow Film Festival or Krakowski Festiwal Filmowy was announced inviting all film makers to submit their entries. 49th Krakow Film Festival is a Polish international film competition that features short fictions and documentary films.

This year’s categories are as follows:

National competition (for short fictions and animations up to 30 minutes and documentaries up to 60 minutes)

International Competition (for short fictions and animations up to 30 minutes and documentaries up to 60 minutes)

Feature-length Documentary Competition (for documentaries at least 60 minutes or more)

Only the films completed after 1st January 2008 may be submitted to the selection.

Deadlines for the competition are as follows:

For films produced before 31st August 2008 – 30th November 2008
For films produced after 31st August 2008 – 11th February 2009
