Giving you extra pair of eyes, tongue and ears! (plus all the creepiness that comes with it)

Just another Champ Title for Pacquiao

The WBC lightweight championship is nothing but another title to Manny Pacquio. In a grueling 9 round battle against David Diaz, Pacquiao showed the world how powerful he really is.

*I used to write Sports news. I know the rules, the jargon and everything there is to know. But nobody’s paying me here so I’ll just write this freely. After all this is a blog, not a news site. Have fun!

The WBC lightweight championship is nothing but another title to Manny Pacquio. In a grueling 9 round battle against David Diaz, Pacquiao showed the world how powerful he really is.

Pacquiao stunned, murdered and annihilated Diaz (I’m not exaggerating here). If it had been a murder literally, more than 8,360 boxing fans who stormed the Mandalay Bay Events Center had all been witnesses. But then they will be telling the same thing, of course those in the front row will say that a punch killed Diaz, those in the last row will just say that a drunk man fell lol, clearly, the Pacman ate the candy.

So the Pacman with a new record of 47-3-2, 35 of which are knockouts, is now the first Asian boxer to win titles in four different weight classes. He is also the first boxer to be a true showbiz celebrity, since Oscar dela Joya’s career didn’t pull off that much. Remember his revival of the song “Run to Me”? At least Manny got his Pinoy Records (which he pronounced as Pinoy Ri-kords) and a hit song, “Para sa’yo ang laban na ‘to” (kidding Manny, don’t punch me when we see each other in GMA).

Back to the news, Pacquiao showed tremendous speed. So Diaz being brought up in a farm and not a street highway or a circus arena was of course stunned.

About the annihilation, how does a 180-59 power shot score advantage sound to you? And where did that come from?

Manny threw strong body punches in the first round. He gave Diaz a cut in the nose in the second round and another in right eye in the fourth. These were followed by continuous punches, some of which are Pacquiao’s deadly uppercuts. Pacquiao opened up another cut in the sixth round. That’s a lot of cuts, right? Perhaps that’s what Pacquio learned in his tapings in Pinoy Records, I heard the director would shout cut and cut and cut several times. Don’t ask me why.

Diaz took a mid-fight bath, with his own blood of course. Perhaps that refreshed him so he was able to land some punches on Manny during the eighth round. But that won’t be enough.

Manny finally knocked Diaz down with 36 seconds left in the ninth round.

David Diaz is down!
